阎宗临:1904年6月,生于山西五台县一个普通农民家庭。1924年中学毕业后来到北京。曾在《国风日报·学汇》当校对。1925年,赴法国勤工俭学。1929年入瑞士弗里堡大学文学哲学院,学习欧洲古代文化和历史。1933年,获瑞士国家文学硕士。同年回到北平,任中法大学教授,讲授法国文学。1935年,返回瑞士弗里堡大学,任中国文化课教授,同时在大学研究院攻读博士学位。1936年,获瑞士国家文学博士学位。1937年抗战爆发,携夫人回国,共赴国难。先在山西大学历史系任教授兼系主任。1938年,经武汉、长沙到桂
Yan Zonglin: June 1904, was born in Wutai County, Shanxi Province, an ordinary peasant family. After graduating from high school in 1924 came to Beijing. In the “Guofeng Daily · Xuehui” when proofreading. In 1925, went to work-study in France. In 1929 into the University of Friborg, Switzerland literary philosophy, learning ancient European culture and history. In 1933, was awarded the Swiss National Master of Arts. In the same year, he returned to Peking, where he was a professor of French Law University and taught French literature. In 1935, returned to the University of Friborg, Switzerland, as a professor of Chinese culture, while studying for doctoral degree at the University Research Institute. In 1936, received a doctorate in Swiss National Literature. The outbreak of the war of resistance in 1937, with his wife returned home, went to the national crisis. First Shanxi University Department of history as professor and department director. In 1938, via Wuhan, Changsha to Gui
