牛尾草(Festuca ekator L.)俗称法斯克草,又称高株狐茅,草地狐茅,为禾本科狐茅属多年生植物。广泛分布于欧、亚大陆和美国等地。多年试种表明,它寿命长,适应性广,耐践踏,耐高温,再生性强,具有一般的饲用和很好的水土保持价值,是一种值得重视的优良牧草品种。 牛尾草种子属颖果,由胚、胚乳和皮层三部分构成。种子萌发时先是胚根鞘突破种皮,当胚根鞘长约1毫米时,胚根从中穿出。胚根长到1厘米左右时,胚芽也破皮而出。在由一条胚根伸出后不久,在它的两侧可伸出新的胚根,一般有胚根3～5条,在这些根上又可生长出许多细的枝根。
Vitex grass (Festuca ekator L.) commonly known as Fesch grass, also known as high-fox grass, grass foxtail grass for the genus Fuschia perennials. Widely distributed in Europe, Asia and the United States. The oxtail seed is a caryopsis composed of embryo, endosperm and cortex. Seed germination first radicle sheath breakthrough seed coat, when the radicle root sheath length of about 1 mm, the radicle through it. Radicles grow to about 1 cm, the germ is also broken out of the skin. Shortly after reaching out from a radicle, new radicles can emerge on either side of it, typically 3-5 radicles, on which many fine branches grow.
