In October 2000, in the golden seasons where the autumn wind shone, Taiwan’s famous writer Yu Kwang-chung took his wife and set foot on the hometown of Jinling. He was invited back to his hometown Nanjing to attend Yu Guangzhong’s work seminar and meet with many experts and scholars in Nanjing. The beautiful Sun Yat-sen, Xuanwu Lake, Qixiashan and the old city wall around the ancient city have left the footprints printed by the poets for more than 50 years. Wandering half a century of nostalgia, finally docked in the homeland harbor. Nanjing meet, is the author and Yu Guangzhong’s reunion. I had interviewed him in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Kaohsiung is located in the east of the Taiwan Strait south of the mouth, is a natural harbor. At that time we drove over the coast, near the view of the ship to Hong Kong, Yuanwang vast sea, reminiscent of Yu Guangzhong poem: “a child, nostalgia is a small stamp, I am in this head, the mother in the other side ... ... Now, nostalgia is a shallow channel of the Gulf, I am in this head, the mainland over there ... ... ”Former Sun Yat-sen Sun Yat-sen University, Yu Guangzhong, although left, is still hired as honorary president of the school and tenured professor . In an office on the fourth floor of the Faculty of Arts, Mr. Yu Kwang-chung has waited for a long time. He was refreshing, smiling, very friendly for the first time. He was very glad to receive a reporter from Nanjing in Kaohsiung. He thought that the office was too small, the people were too busy to turn around. Let’s go to the reception room to talk about, but we think his office is full of books.
