我們以萬分熱烈而痛快的心情,迎接新的一九五○年来到。一九五○年的新年,是中國历史上一個最值得真正舉國騰歡的新年。今年的新年,是完全不同於過去的任何年代的。在這個新年的不久以前,集中代表帝國主義、封建主義、官僚资本主義的國民黨反動政權,被人民革命的伟大勝利所推倒,舊的中國宣告滅亡,代之而起的是一個嶄新的人民民主專政的中華人民共和國。中國人民幾千年以來,得不到政治上的自由和幸福,遭受生活的压迫和痛苦,現在我们翻身站立起來,把政權掌握在自己手里,成立了自己的政府,要建設自己的國家。每一個中國人民都應該替自己庆幸,慶幸自己今天生任這个伟大的时代。親身看到反動勢力全部瓦解崩溃,親身遇到由全面勝利而轉進入於全面建设的年頭。今年的新年乃是任何人都会感覺到在本质上与過去
