邬江兴,祖籍原河南固始县的金家寨。他父亲是新中国第一批授衔的少将,邬江兴是新世纪第一年授衔的少将。一家出两代少将,实为鲜见。面对面答辩,是今年中国工程院增选院士新增加的程序,本次中国工程院院士当选因此更难。原定增选院士不超过70人,而最终只有58人当选。熟悉邬江兴的人都说:“能在最难的一届胜出,这符合他的斗士心理。”
Wu Jiang Xing, native of Gushi County, Henan Gimhae. His father was the first major general in New China, and Wu Jiangxing was a major general awarded the first year in the new century. A generation of two major generals, it is rare. The face-to-face defense is the newly added procedure for the selection of academicians by the Chinese Academy of Engineering this year and the appointment of academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering is therefore more difficult. The original appointment of more than 70 academicians, and ultimately only 58 elected. People familiar with Wu Jiangxing said: “It will be in his hardest time to win, which is in line with his fighter mentality.”
