周恩来在长期领导全国政协和统战工作的实践中提出了一套适合中国国情的党际关系思想,其主要内容包括:在坚持共产党领导的前提下,各党派间团结合作,求同存异;平等协商,互有妥协;广交朋友,充分信任,长期共存,互相监督。周恩来的党际关系思想为中国共产党领导下的多党合作和政治协商制度奠定了思想基础,成为中共统一战线理论的主要内容之一,促进了各党派的团结合作。在当今新形势下认真学习周恩来的党际关系思想仍有重要的现实指导意义和启迪作用。
