归纳咳嗽病因病机是以风为先导,挟寒、热、燥邪,病位在肺,涉及五脏。临床分6型辨证论治:风寒犯肺,治以疏风散寒、宣肺止咳,方用天麻疏风汤加减;风燥伤肺,治以疏风润肺止咳,方用桑叶连贝散加减;风热袭肺,治以疏风清热、肃肺止咳,方用银翘散加减;痰热壅肺,治以清肺化痰、肃肺止咳,方用千金苇茎汤加减;痰湿蕴肺,治以燥湿化痰、理肺止咳,方用苏葶二陈汤加减;肺阴亏虚,治以滋阴润肺止咳,方用沙参麦冬汤。
