The clause subject is the characterization of the entity as the focus of the role prototype in a single, unitary relationship in which language is the process of interaction between people and the world. Unmarked clauses describe the general focus of participants in the process of highlighting the entity, its prominence and human normal cognitive thinking is consistent. Marked clause subject mainly describes unconventional focus highlighting entities in cognitive process, including the highlighting of hidden events, highlighting of non-participants and the prominence of the process side itself. The purpose of this paper is to interpret the semantic origins and the main features of clauses in the framework of cognitive highlighting clearly and reasonably from the perspective of linguistic functions and human cognition.
