A transport hub bus transfer mezzanine was originally designed as a passage, only used as a personnel pass. Due to the need of operation, shops are set on both sides of the passage in the existing fire prevention design scheme. Considering that the mezzanine is mainly used as a transfer function of public transportation, in order to ensure the use of the fire safety function after the change of function when the shops are set up on both sides of the passageway, the paper mainly analyzes the restriction of the shop floor area, the enhancement of fire separation and the improvement of fire protection facilities in the mezzanine Fire safety requirements were discussed, and the concept of performance-based fire protection design was used to quantitatively analyze fire safety. The feasibility of fire safety design was studied.
