1954年1月号化学通报52页周子强先生对于苏联奚尤什金所著,周芬、王悦祖两先生编译的初中化学课本19页,图13所布置的氧化汞分解实验提出了意见,经过我们操作和研究,现在把结果写在下面:在试管 a 内置氧化汞粉末0.5克(装的不要太集中了,在试管底部所占面积要大一些才容易受热分解),用普通酒精灯加热,待其中空气受热排完后(约1分钟)再用试管 b(其大小和 a 相同,口径大约是1厘米左右,长度大约是10厘米左右)收集氧气。从实验开始到氧化汞全部分解,而且 b 管恰好收集满一管氧气,刚好用去6分钟。拆除装置,把微燃木条插入试管 b 内,木条立即在管内猛烈燃烧起来,取下试管 a,则见有光亮的银白色的水
