合氧酸是重要的一种无机化合物而其氧化还原性又是最重要的一种化学性质。掌握各种含氧酸的氧化还原性的相对强弱及其原因,不仅对教学工作有重要的意义,在实际工作方面也是有用的。徐绍龄对周期系五、六、七主副族的含氧酸氧化性进行过部分的总结,并利用几何效应——配位质点的遮蔽作用——进行解释。由于氧化还原性比酸性复杂得多,影响因素是多方面的,因此不能把强弱原因归结于一个因素,何况还可能是次要的
Oxoacids are important inorganic compounds and their redox activity is the most important chemical property. Grasping the relative strengths and weaknesses of redox properties of various oxoacids and their causes not only have important implications for teaching, but are also useful in practical work.
