As with all things in the world, languages are constantly evolving. Vocabulary, as a subsystem of language, is the most rapid and prominent change compared with other parts of speech, grammar and writing. Vocabulary changes are mainly reflected in the emergence of new words, the demise of old words and word meaning of the evolution of three aspects. Most linguists classify lexical meaning into three categories: extension, reduction and transfer of lexical meaning. However, the coverage under the lexical transfer has always been controversial. In particular, whether the change in sentiment should belong to it is the largest disagreement. In the end whether the change in the color of emotion should be classified as meaning transfer? This article tries to answer this question, that is, the relationship between the change of emotion and the meaning transfer.
