马驰1942年生于福建东山岛的一个书画世家。曾祖父马兆麟是清末著名书画家,其作品1885年获巴拿马世界博览会金奖,祖父马徽祥父亲马雪邨均为知名的书法家。马驰从小就在这种环境中影响薰陶,自动酷爱书画。少年时期由唐楷入手,勤学苦练造就札实规范的基本功。行书学米芾、张瑞图、草书学孙遇庭、张旭,博取传统名家之众长精髓,熔一炉于自身心手,逐渐形成独具个性的马驰风格。 1981年书法作品获澳大利亚举办的国际书法比赛一等奖,1983—1985年连续二届获省工会举办的职工书法比赛一等奖,同年又获武汉《书法报》举办的“黄鹤奖”,硬笔书法入选北京中国第一届和第二届大展并刊
Ma Chi was born in 1942 in Dongshan Island, Fujian, a painting family. Great-grandfather Ma Zhaolin was a famous painter in the late Qing Dynasty.
