A series of works of art displayed along World Expo Avenue seem like a series of symbols of symbols and metaphors, telling us the needs, desires and dreams of modern people. These sculptures complement each other with magnificent venues and tell a series of philosophical and aesthetic topics that shake the new century. The proposed subtitle is derived from the novel “Crossing the Trail Garden” written by the Argentine writer Borges. The novel is a vivid portrayal of the complex and contemporary contemporary metropolis and the gateway to the modern day sky tower. The French Mitterrand Art Center (Paris - Shanghai) contracted the planning of this world art exhibition to stand out in the selection of more than 70 project teams from China and other parts of the world. Eleven exhibits were produced in China, seven of which were commissioned by the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, two donated by donors and two by internationally renowned overseas artists. Due to transport difficulties, they were also produced in China. Special thanks to Jean-Pierre Jeter-Tran and his head Liao Yiguo in Asia. Without their perseverance, superb negotiation and diplomatic skills, strategic wisdom and daily hard work, “the world’s art Expo 2010 Shanghai World Expo Axis sculpture gallery International Sculpture Exhibition ” will always be a dream.
