近年来,随着我国对外开放步伐加快,地方对外交往活动日益频繁,外宣工作在扩大开放中的舆论先导作用十分明显,对外宣传品则成了对外交往的重要载体。各地把外宣品的制作当作宣传工作、民间交往、招商引资的一项基础性工作来抓,出版了一批内容正确、印刷精美、装帧漂亮的画册、折页,深受国际友人和投资者的喜爱。同时,对推介地域特色、树立地方形象起到了较好的作用。但是,就笔者接触到的一些地方外宣品而言,有些中文译成英文后,没有达到理想的效果。
