With the advent of contingency technologies such as television-based WWW browsers and cable modems, the boundaries between monitors and televisions have become increasingly blurred. AITech International is working on a PC-to-TV converter that will make PC and TV versatile. The company introduced a converter chip and an external converter at the end of last year. Both products convert VGA signals to National Television Standards Committee (NTSC) or PAL video formats. This name is Pro PC / TVI hardware box connected to the PC through the VGA port, connected to the TV through a video connection. It leverages FlicFree patented technology to reduce the flickering of the TV screen when converting signals. It comes with True Image software for position calibration and color adjustment. For enhanced conversions, AITech also released to the OEM late last year a single-chip solution called the AIT2108, which can be integrated into a PC, a set-top box or an NC. The AIT2108 adds an optional FieldMemory and provides freeze, zoom, and pan functions.
