In a media interview, a top executive at Japan's NEC revealed that Chinese technicians have become an indispensable resource for NEC's business development, especially for the software business. With the addition of partner companies, NEC already has approximately 50,000 software development and service personnel worldwide, compared to 1,700 software professionals in China, which is negligible compared to 50,000. However, NEC has regarded China as an important software development base and will continue to strengthen its personnel.
