On October 28, the U.S. Air Force awarded Lockheed Martin a $ 76 million order to purchase a gemstone laser-guided bomb package. Paveway Laser Guided Bomb turns traditional gravity bombs into precision guided bombs. The bombs were controlled semi-automatically by the laser and controlled by aero-wings, which were integrated into the aerial platform and were compatible with the MK 80 series bombs and the BLU-109 warhead.
