目的:研究食管鳞癌组织中血管内皮生长因子C(VEGF-C)和血管内皮生长因子D(VEGF-D)表达在淋巴管生成中的作用,初步探讨食管鳞癌浸润转移演进的可能机制。方法:采用免疫组化SP法检测64例食管鳞癌组织中VEGF-C和VEGF-D的表达水平及D2-40标记的淋巴管密度(LVD),分析三者与食管鳞癌临床病理特征的关系。结果:VEGF-C和VEGF-D在食管鳞癌及癌旁组中的表达明显高于正常组(P<0.01),并与淋巴结转移、肿瘤浸润深度及TNM分期有关(P<0.05);癌及癌旁组织中LVD明显高于正常组(P<0.05),但LVD与淋巴结转移等临床病理特征间无明显相关性;LVD在VEGF-C和VEGF-D表达阳性组中高于阴性组(P<0.05)。结论:VEGF-C、VEGF-D在食管鳞癌组织中可能促进淋巴管的生成。
AIM: To investigate the role of VEGF-C and VEGF-D in lymphangiogenesis in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) and to explore the possible mechanism of invasion and metastasis of ESCC. Methods: The expressions of VEGF-C and VEGF-D in 64 cases of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma were detected by immunohistochemical SP method and the lymphatic vessel density (LVD) marked by D2-40 were detected. The clinicopathological characteristics relationship. Results: The expressions of VEGF-C and VEGF-D in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and paracarcinoma group were significantly higher than those in normal esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (P <0.01), and were correlated with lymph node metastasis, tumor invasion depth and TNM stage (P <0.05) (P <0.05). However, there was no significant correlation between LVD and clinical pathological features such as lymph node metastasis. LVD was higher in VEGF-C and VEGF-D positive groups than in negative group (P <0.05) <0.05). Conclusion: VEGF-C and VEGF-D may promote lymphangiogenesis in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
