通江县位于四川盆地东北部边缘,米仓山东段南麓,属长江上游嘉陵江流域渠江水系,县内地形起伏很大,中低山切割较强,地质构造和地层岩性复杂,属地质灾害易发区,被省上列为全省地质灾害易发县。截至2013年10月,全县共有917处地质灾害隐患点,分布在全县49个乡(镇),524个行政村,直接受威胁学校、场镇、人口聚集区等9044户55806人。今年来,该县坚持“以人为本,避让与防治相结合”的原则,平时抓防范,汛期抓应急,防范和治理相结合,成功实施主动避让996人次,避让搬迁870户3500人,完成地质滑坡治理3处、实施应急排危项目29个,查处人为因素造成地灾隐患15起,有力有效保障全县人民群众生命财产安全。
