On June 2, the National Development and Reform Commission promulgated the “Notice on Building a National Model Zone for the Transformation and Upgrading of the Yangtze River Economic Belt” (hereinafter referred to as the Circular), and Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Hubei and Hunan 33 development zones under the jurisdiction of 11 provinces and municipalities in Chongqing Municipality, Sichuan Province, Yunnan Province and Guizhou Province, becoming the state-level demonstration area for transformation and upgrading of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
