In previous papers, we reported the isolation of four triterpenoid saponins: tubeimo-sides I,II,III, and IV from the bulbs of Bolbostemma paniculatum Maxim franquet(Cucurbi-taceae) and characterization of tubeimoside I. In this communication we continue to reportthe structural elucidation of tubeimosides II(1), III (4), and IV (8). All of them are newsaponins,1 and 4 are novel macrocyclic saponins. Tubeimoside II(1), C_63H_98O_30, [α]_D -6.0°(c,0.32, pyridine), was obtained as colorlessamorphous powder. Its SIMS showed the [M+H]~+ion at m/z 1335.
