1959年,是上海档案事业发展史上十分重要的年份,这一年,上海市党政档案工作开始实行统一管理,建立了统一的管理机构——上海市档案管理局和上海市档案馆。局、馆的建立,标志着上海档案事业进入了一个历史发展的新时期。当时,我作为上海市人民委员会(即市人民政府,下同)办公厅一名从事档案工作的工作人员,亲身经历了上个世纪50年代末党政档案工作实现统一管理的重大变化,现将在此过程中发生的几件大事,叙述如下:
