1998年,台湾省专用化学品产值为1204亿元新台币,其中以西药制剂、涂料、染料、表面活性剂及清洁剂4类为主体。西药制剂产值为417亿元新台币,比上年增长了约5％,而进口额仍居高不下;涂料产量继多年持续增长后,于1998年出现7.9％的负增长,出口量有较大幅度增长;染料产量首次突破6万t,本地产品可与进口产品相抗衡;农药工业面临严峻考验;表面活性剂已具备完善的生产体系,厂家正积极扩建。
