1994年4月5日,对于中国体育界来说,是一个值得纪念的日子。这一天里,在每年例行召开的“全国体委主任会议”召开的前夕,国家体委在北京隆重举行了’94中国反兴奋剂大会。来自国家体委、省市自治区体委、行业体协和解放军等部门的200余位领导和有关人士参加了会议,国家体委主任伍绍祖、副主任袁伟民在大会上做了重要讲话。官方的报道说:这是国家体委继1992年7月召开“中国奥委会反兴奋剂委员会成立大会”之后,组织的又一次体育界反对使用兴奋剂大会;显示了中国一贯反对在竞技体育中使用兴奋剂的鲜明立场,也显示了中国体育界维护奥林匹克运动纯洁性的坚定决心。
April 5, 1994, for the Chinese sports community, is a memorable day.
