《英语新课标》提出:“学生的发展是英语课程的出发点和归宿,英语课程在目标设定、教学过程、课程评价和教学资源的开发等方面都突出以学生为主体的思想”。所以在教学中要突出以学生为主体的思想,就必须尊重个体差异,因地制宜、因人实施。学生在智力和非智力因素发展中存在这个体差异,传统的“一刀切”的教学形式,妨碍了学生个性、爱好和特长的发展,而分层教学正是针对学生的个体差异,从不同的学生差异中寻求教学的最佳结合点,使全体学生都能得到主动和谐的发展。
