历史是一本教科书,以史可以资鉴,只有尊重自己的历史和传统文化,才能尊重自我并得到他人的尊重,而了解世界历史进程和发展脉络,则有利于开拓视野,更好地借鉴国外的先进经验,建设好我们的家园。因此,在开放的社区建设中,重视和引入历史知识和传统文化的教育,对于提高市民综合素质,用优秀文化构筑市民精神支柱,具有不可替代的重要作用,这也是史学社会功能的体现。
