The effect of welding current on the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of welded joints was studied by using double wire MIG welding on 6082-T6 aluminum alloy automotive body panels. The effects of welding current on the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of welded joints were studied. Weld zone and heat affected zone microstructure. The results show that, with the increase of welding current, the microstructure of 6082-T6 aluminum alloy tends to be coarsening. The eutectic structure evolves from discontinuous strip distribution to a continuous network distribution, while the heat affected zone The aging precipitated Mg_2Si phase continuously accumulates in the tissue, the mechanical properties of the weld increase, while the corrosion resistance decreases.
