英国现代作家多丽丝·莱辛于2007年荣获诺贝尔文学奖,一时引起学术界研究莱辛的热潮。她在2008年发表的又一力作《阿尔弗雷德与艾米丽》还未引起评论界应有的重视。本文通过创伤角度分析“那场伟大的战争”对莱辛父母的身体及心理影响,指出文中父母角色的建构方式,旨在探索父母角色的差异性和父母的经历对孩子成长过程和成人后生活态度的影响。
British contemporary writer Doris Lessing won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2007, which caused the academic study of Lessing’s craze. Her another masterpiece, Alfred and Emily, published in 2008, has yet to attract the attention of critics. This article analyzes the physical and psychological impact of “The Great War” on Lessing’s parents from the perspective of trauma and points out the ways in which the roles of parents in the text are constructed in order to explore the differences in parental roles and the experience of parents in the process of growing children and adults Post-life attitude.
