中国图书馆学会于1992年4月25—27日在南京召开第四次会员代表大会。出席会议的有来自全国各省(区)市、各系统图书馆界的代表278人。大会总结了第三次会员代表大会以来的工作,提出了今后开展学术活动的意见,修改了学会章程,选举了学会新的领导机构。大会选出97名理事组成了新一届理事会,并选出了30名常务理事。理事会选举文化部副部长刘德有为理事长;北京图书馆副馆长唐绍明、文化部图书馆司司长杜
The Library Society of China held its fourth member congress in Nanjing from April 25 to April 27, 1992. Attending the meeting were 278 representatives from various provinces (districts) and municipalities in the system and library circles. The conference summed up the work since the third congress of deputies, put forward opinions on carrying out academic activities in the future, amended the statutes of the institute, and elected and learned the new leading body. The General Assembly elected 97 members formed a new council, and elected 30 executive director. The council elected Liu Deyou, vice minister of the Ministry of Culture as chairman; Tang Shaomin, deputy director of the Beijing Library, and director of the Library Division of the Ministry of Culture
