本文以鲁迅小说《风波》、《离婚》中的绍兴方言詈辞为中心,通过分析三种英译本采用的詈辞翻译策略,尝试描述译者遵循的起始翻译规范,解释其翻译决策。研究结果显示,王译本相对偏重詈辞译文的充分性,主要采取直译法,其翻译决策与译作产生的时代背景和译者的意识形态密切相关;杨译本比较注重詈辞译文的可接受性,倾向于采用淡化和删除手法,主要是因为译者受到了赞助人及中国传统道德规范的双重制约;莱尔译本也偏重詈辞译文的可接受性,但主要采用了归化法,这应该是莱尔的翻译目的和再现鲁迅的语言风格这一诗学追求决定的。
Based on the rhetoric of Shaoxing dialect in Lu Xun’s novels “Storm” and “Divorce”, this essay attempts to describe the initial translation norms followed by the translators by explaining the translation strategies adopted by the three English versions and explain their translation decisions.
