水彩画在中国经历了一百余年的发展,水彩画创作趋向繁荣,形式多样,已经形成相对中国体系的水彩画整体风格,水彩画的发展和教学有着密不可分的联系,处于喜忧参半的状态。我国油画的发展除了从法国、英国等国汲取养分的同时也在积极向我们的邻邦俄罗斯学习、借鉴与创新,相比之下我国水彩画目前还不能完整的体现出西方水彩背景下的意境与根基,这与中国水彩画风格形成密不可分,缺乏系统学习和理解西方水彩画的过程,既不能体现出深厚的文化底蕴,也不能体现出强烈的民族感,处于尴尬两难的境
