This paper introduces the results of the traction thermal test carried out on the ring test line of Russian Railway Transport Academy by the Russian-U.S. Joint-venture ТЭРА1 locomotive. The conclusion is as follows: The car meets the requirements of the locomotive in the standard document can run on the Russian railway; car fitted with two-stroke 710G3B diesel engine economy is good
