Disputes caused by the “mad cow disease” in the United Kingdom so far have not come to an end. People are increasingly concerned about this dispute and the awareness of “food safety”. In this regard, Yangzhou Municipal People’s Congress, Associate Professor Luo Fangni of Yangzhou University Animal Medical College to consider more deeply: the incidence of food poisoning deaths in the country, the large proportion is due to pesticide contamination, while the main pesticide contamination of food The way is through vegetables. In the soil, air, water and pesticides that affect the quality of vegetables, pesticides are the biggest killers. In the case of Yangzhou, some pesticides that have been banned for vegetable production, such as 1605, methamidophos, omethoate, and entrapped phosphine, which are likely to cause acute poisoning and even death, have been widely used because of their insecticidal spectrum, low price and ease of use Continue to be used by some vegetable farmers and bring great harm to the public’s health. Long-term consumption of pesticide residues in vegetables, long-term accumulation of toxins, not only can cause chronic poisoning, but also serious cancer, teratogenic, mutagenic.
