It is a great trend to develop digital format of the television broadcasti ng technology.So digital tech-nology and equipments are more and mo re adopted in the process of making th e television programs.Now,three com-pressed form ats,including MPEG-2?M-JPEG and DV are extensively applie d in the field o f television.The followings are the digital video recorders whic h adopt the co de rate compressed tech nology:Sony(DIGITAL BETACAM?BETA-CAMSX?DVCAM?MPEGI MX),Panasonic(DVCPRO?DDVCPRO50)and JVC(D-9).In this article,it det ailedly in-troduces the different characteris tics of the above-mentioned dig ital video recorders and the primary models of digital equments in the market to help us to un derstand and purchase the digital video recorders.
