文章认为仅仅停留在发展社会主义市场经济需要加强思想政治工作的一般认识上，是十分不够的。正确认识和把握两者的内在关联性和兼容性乃是实现社会主义基本制度和市场经济有机结合的一个重要理论前提、实践保证和自觉性基础。文章从理论、历史和现实三个方面对思想政治工作和社会主义市场经济的内在关联性和兼容性进行了深入的探讨，阐明了加强思想政治工作既是发展社会主义市场经济的内在要求，又是保证社会主义市场经济沿着社会主义正确方向有序健康发展的客观需要，而发展社会主义市场经济则是促进思想政治工作不断加强与改善的实践动力和现实途径。从本质上看，两者在内容上是相互兼容涵盖的，在需求上是内在一致的，在实际运行上是互动互促的。认清这一本质，形成相应的机制，把两者有机结合起来，这是建设有中国特色社会主义必须取得广泛共识的一个重大的理论问题，也是现实的期盼，时代的呼唤。
The article holds that it is not enough to just stay in the general understanding of the need to strengthen ideological and political work in developing the socialist market economy. Correctly understanding and grasping the intrinsic relevance and compatibility of the two is an important theoretical premise, practical assurance and conscious foundation for the organic combination of the basic socialist system and the market economy. The article makes an in-depth discussion on the inherent relationship and compatibility between ideological and political work and the socialist market economy from three aspects of theory, history and reality, and expounds that strengthening ideological and political work is not only the intrinsic requirement for developing the socialist market economy, but also The objective need of guaranteeing the orderly and healthy development of the socialist market economy in the correct direction of socialism and the development of the socialist market economy are the practical and practical ways of promoting the continuous strengthening and improvement of the ideological and political work. In essence, the two are compatible with each other in terms of content and are inherently consistent in their demand and interactive in practice. A clear understanding of this essence, forming a corresponding mechanism and organically combining the two are a major theoretical issue that must be reached with broad consensus on building socialism with Chinese characteristics. It is also a call for realistic expectations and the times.
