翻译教学是高职高专院校英语教学的重要组成部分,以培养学生的翻译能力作为主要目标。然而,当前我国高职高专院校英语翻译能力的培养现状却存在着诸多弊端急需解决,如教材与课程设置不完善、学生基础薄弱、教师素质不高及教学手段落后等。高职院校英语教师应当根据高职高专院校学生实际英语水平确定切实可行的培养方针,改革课程设置,适当改变授课模式,加强学生的参与度,并提高教师素质,提高学生英语水平和学习翻译的兴趣,以提高翻译教学质量,更好地培养学生的翻译能力。
Translation teaching is an important part of English teaching in higher vocational colleges and universities. The main objective is to cultivate students’ ability to translate. However, there are still many shortcomings in the cultivation of English translation ability in higher vocational colleges, such as imperfect teaching materials and curriculum, weak foundation of students, low quality of teachers and backward teaching methods. English teachers in higher vocational colleges should determine practicable training guidelines according to the actual English level of students in higher vocational and technical colleges, reform the curriculum, appropriately change the teaching mode, strengthen the participation of students, improve the quality of teachers and improve students’ English proficiency Learn the translation of interest in order to improve the quality of translation teaching, and better develop students’ ability to translate.
