2012年3月,履任不足十个月的路虎中国执行副总裁胡波宣布离任。有消息称他将重新回到大众(中国)负责大众即将投放中国市场的西亚特品牌。随着中国高端SUV市场的蓬勃发展,从2010年开始,捷豹路虎就开始从宝马、大众大量挖人。凭借进口产品的市场营销能力,胡波被捷豹路虎看重,并于2011年6月14日起正式出任路虎中国执行副总裁。
