传统的文学批评观认为,文学的政治性与其美学价值相互排斥,文本的政治性会损害文本的美学价值,反之亦然。因此,历来的文学批评都在二者中进行艰难的抉择。然而由于女性主义文学批评产生的特殊环境使得其天生具有政治属性,故美学方面的构建则长期被忽视。事实上,对女性主义文学批评来说,政治性与审美性并非不可调和,因为它们之间的矛盾可以在文本的反讽的时刻得到解决。
The traditional view of literary criticism holds that the political nature of literature is mutually exclusive with its aesthetic value, and the political nature of text can damage the aesthetic value of the text, and vice versa. Therefore, literary criticism has always been a difficult choice between the two. However, the aesthetic aspects of the feminist literary criticism have long been neglected because of the inherent political nature of feminist literary criticism. In fact, for feminist literary criticism, politics and aesthetics are not irreconcilable, because the contradictions between them can be solved at the moment of irony of the text.
