汉明帝永平年间(公元58-75),汉明帝为了弘扬佛法,下令正月十五夜在宫中和寺院“燃灯表佛”。此后,元宵放灯的习俗就由宫廷中流传到民间。
Hanming Emperor Yongping years (AD 58-75), Han Ming emperor in order to carry forward the Dharma, ordered the first lunar January fifteen nights in the palace and monastery “light lamp Buddha.” Since then, the practice of Lantern Lamps on the light spread from the court to the people.
