The Earth—Our Home
Earth Day is a very special day. It makes all of us think about pollution problems have been caused by people. It’s not only a special day in the city where we live in①， but also a day that the whole world pays attention to.
Some countries have Earth Day celebrations， and some people and groups join in Earth Day projects such as “Protect Our Home” and “Water for Life”.
You can join in one of the project② or activities. You can plant a tree with your mum， or clean up a park with your classmates or friends. You can do almost something③. Try to think of something you would like to do.
Why do we celebrate the Earth Day？ Because we have only one earth and it’s getting dirty. It’s our duty to protect our beautiful home. Earth Day is a day to call on people around the world to save the earth.

① in去掉。前面用了where后面就不能再用介词in。
② project应改为projects。one of后接名词的复数。
③ something改为anything。这里的something改为anything较好，语气更加强烈，表示“可以做任何事”。
