径切扦插系指插穗于插前在其基部横断面沿直径部位,用小刀向上纵切一刀或按十字形向上纵切两刀(纵切刀数和深度视插穗粗度和长度而定)的切割方法。于1983~1987年我们对林木、木本花卉等30余种植物材料,分别用径切和平切插穗所进行的扦插对比试验的结果是:径切较平切的插穗愈合早、生根早、发根多和生根率高。为了解释这个规律性的效果,我们对径切扦插生理机制也进行了一些研究。
