From January to February 2004, all the key indicators of Sichuan’s economy were rosy across the board: the high-profile industry triumphant investment, the rapid growth of investment, steady growth of the consumer market, faster fiscal revenue growth, stable financial operation and noticeable increase in resident income. This shows that the overall economy is doing well. The added value of industrial enterprises above designated size in the province was 19.85 billion yuan, an increase of 25.9% over the same period of last year, an increase of 2.2 percentage points over the same period of last year and 9.3 percentage points faster than that of the whole country.
