在设计单机或机组时,保证各种密封件可靠,使其在较大的压力和温度范围内能长期地保持密封性,乃是一项主要的课题。近些年来,在这方面进行了大量的理论和实验研究,并根据这些研究,对固定可拆卸连接的密封提出了许多性能良好的新型密封结构。固定可拆卸连接通常采用以下几种密封方法:精度配合密封;用金属、非金属和复合材料制成平垫圈和异形断面垫圈;圆形断面和异形断面的弹性垫圈;空心的和异形断面的金属垫圈的组合密封。
