Systemic functional linguistics regards language as a system of meaning, and language is a regular source of meaning. The formation of language system comes from people’s social practice. Language participates in social life through meaning potential. The semantic orientation of language enables language to realize its interpersonal function. The analysis of the interpersonal meaning of any discourse involves the evaluation of discourse resources. The evaluation theory holds that the latent ideology in discourse is represented by the evaluation resources in its language.
