With the advent of the information age, the field of vision and objects of geography are changing from time to time. The research on geospatial of traditional geography is moving toward the research of geospatial space. The change of the research objects has led geography to a new stage - Geography of the Information Society. The analysis and introduction of the academic and technical backgrounds of the geography of the information society and new research fields help to reveal the development characteristics and the latest progress of the new geography.
