2011年是联合国确定的国际化学年,以纪念化学学科所取得的成就以及对人类文明的贡献。化学年的主题是“我们的生活,我们的未来”。国际化学年的目的在于提高公众对于化学的认识,增加公众对于化学的欣赏和了解,提高年轻人对于科学的兴趣,培养对于化学未来发展的热情,彰显化学对于知识进步、环境保护和经济发展的重要贡献。“国际化学年”将在全球范围内对化学科学起到促进作用。我国作为该项全球活动的发起国之一,将积极参与并隆重举办一系列活动。
