In March this year, during the “two sessions ”, reporters interviewed several CPPCC committees engaged in music education. Peng Zhimin, dean of the Wuhan Conservatory of Music, is one of the important figures. The topic we interviewed stemmed from the two sessions, but jumped out of the two sessions. However, he has not deviated from the music education most closely watched by Dean Peng. The refined logic, passionate narration and keen insight of this elegant middle-aged scholar are impressive. His highly contagious expression and his sense of mission have all aroused strong resonance in the hearts of journalists. The interview involves a number of topics such as the macro-development of education, the status quo and inadequacies of music education, and the philosophy and trend of development of music schools.
