Ultrasound can be used to monitor the growth of preovulatory follicles. The authors analyzed the relationship between ovulation time estimated by the basal body temperature profile and the diameter of the follicle measured by ultrasound. The authors studied 11 women of 11 menstrual cycles, aged 24 to 28 years, did not take birth control pills, no gynecological disorders, menstrual cycle rules.
