Every year, more than 800,000 cargo containers in the world are abandoned after they have been transported by sea. This is a huge waste, but it also provides architects and artists with a new type of material that can be used on many projects. One of them is a land bridge designed by Israeli architect Yoav Messer. The bridge, built entirely of recycled containers as construction materials, has a design length of five hundred twenty-five feet and will traverse between a main road in Tel Aviv and the national park. The bridge serves pedestrians, bicycles and light motor vehicles as well as a city landmark like New York’s High Line. The bridge will be set bench, pedestrian gallery and a number of scenic spots. From there you can see the famous landscape of Tel Aviv. Of course, and most importantly, this bridge is an innovation from building materials to construction methods and a useful attempt to recycle.
